Ryan Ramsey found himself drawn to the camera at the age of 12 when he first started creating skateboarding videos with his family’s Hi-8 video camera. Ryan followed this interest by attending the University of Texas’ Radio-Television-Film program to study cinematography. After several years of working on documentary films, he moved to Los Angeles to realign his focus on narrative cinematography. Stemming from his background in documentary, Ryan believes in mimicking reality in his work while adding a visual emphasis on elements that are key in producing a desired emotion. Holding on to the organic nature of a moment, yet adding the cinematic flare that makes a film magical.

Ryan currently shoots projects ranging from feature films, short films, music videos, and commercials. Recently wrapping a feature film, The Willowbrook, and shooting commercials for SoCalGas, Dulce Vida Tequila, and Surfmonk Clothing Co.
